I have had to change my travel plans for the time being. I was asked if I could help out with the audio at my church, and was more than happy to just be asked so I have started training sessions with some very knowledgeable and experienced parishioners
The chap who had been operating the audio for many years is actually taking his entire family on a 4 wheel drive “lap” of Australia for 6 months. Because his children are at an age now where they are able to appreciate, yet still learn from all that they will see I felt that it would be much easier to post-pone my start date until they return. The churches and chapels will still be there in another 6 months if I wait. Family dynamics and relationships can change dramatically during the children’s teenage years so it was a no- brainer to consider what was best- myself or an entire family
To be completely honest; I feel so blessed and fortunate just to be alive and be able to even consider travelling. The life choices that I have made have been miserable, unhealthy, dangerous at times, and so sinful, that it is only due to the grace of God I am still breathing. I know that God has allowed me to remain amongst the living because He has a plan for me. I intend to live long enough so that I am able to see and experience just what it is.
So! I will now begin my adventure in mid to late October; I am informed that I might have a better chance of seeing more wildflowers at this time of the year too. I will also have more time to research the locations which I wish to explore.
