I am a Sinner.

And I am Such a Sinner.

That I have Been An alcoholic For 40 Years Of My Life.

I have Lied.

I have Stolen.

I Have Only Thought Of Myself

I  Am selfish

I judge Everyone Else as if I am almost perfect.

My drinking controlled my life

I was responsible for the death of an eight year old girl

Whilst driving drunk yet again.

I was imprisoned for eight years.

It was time for change.

I enrolled in a correspondence Bible study course

I  started reading the Bible.

I had many questions

 I listened To The Prison Chaplains

I don’t know how it works but the more

I read the Bible and talked with the chaplains

About Jesus, the more I wanted to become like

Jesus.

We all can’t quit our jobs to become pastors

And ministers but we can want to make a change.

And I Tried….

To Put others Before Myself,

To Help Others Les Fortunate,

To Respect Others And Their Property

To Accept Other’s cultures, values, opinions and behaviours.

NONE OF THIS WAS EASY

Especially While In Prison.

Over a period Of Time It became Easier not to judge those around me.

I started to enjoy helping others just for the sake of helping

And I was able to accept others for who they were.

AT THE SAME TIME AS ALL OF THIS WAS HAPPENING I WAS RECEIVING THIS AMAZING SENSE OF PEACE WITHIN ME

The Only Way To Describe It Is That I truly Felt Like God Was With Me And Protecting Me.

DON’T GET ME WRONG! I AM STILL A WORK IN PROGRESS AND I HAVE A LOT OF HARD WORK TO DO TO BECOME ANYTHING LIKE THE MAN JESUS WANTS ME TO BE.

BUT!!! 

From now on I want to live real life; the way Jesus did

And I want to start by simply finding three things that I am thankful for each morning. Anyone is welcome to join me if they think they are up to the task. Come on, it could change your life completely.
