good morning friends and believers

I give thanks to the Lord for a new day

I have briefly mentioned that I would like to travel the south west and ‘research’ the small churches and chapels that I find as I travel.

Firstly I have to deal with my health.

I would like to be on the road in early February 2023.

My travel details are all in God’s hands because I have an appointment for scans of my abdomen this coming Monday, the 26th of June. I had a nasty mass removed from my bowel 2 years ago and, all thanks and praise to God, the surgeons were able to take out every last bit of the cancer without any need to undergo ongoing radiation or chemotherapy.

During those 2 years I have had issues with blood clots and numerous dramas with colostomy bags not sealing.

When I had the cancer removed there was a problem and I had to go back into surgery at midnight. While I was on the ‘table’ I had another stroke.

Once again God stepped in and allowed me to continue to function; Walking and talking were easily managed but I still had left- sided weakness and could not perform fine motor skills with my left hand.

Basically I am not able to do up buttons or tie shoe laces- or play the piano competently- not that I was ever elton john or liberace in the first place

So on Monday I am praying that the scans show that there is still no spread of the cancer and that there is enough ‘plumbing’ remaining which will allow the surgeons to reverse the operation I had to install the colostomy bag.

I am completely at peace in regards to the medical proceedures I require because God has Proved to me that He has been with me throughout every issue I have faced up until this point- so I know that He is not about to let me down now; Besides, I know in my heart of hearts that God is Faithful and true

I will have a positive report from the scan on Monday at Fremantle Hospital and then in about 2 weeks I have an appointment with correctoral surgery at Fiona Stanley Hospital where I pray that they may set a date for the reversal to be performed.

You know, I have been thinking about wanting to travel the state and look at all of the ‘ tiny churches and chapels for perhaps 6 or seven years but I have never felt, or known, that this was God’s will or simply my own idea. Over the past 3 years God has not just encouraged me to move forward with this idea but has provided the exact vehicle I have been researching for my needs.

I had the funds to buy a good second-hand vehicle and was looking online when a photo appeared of the very same make and model I had been searching for. Not just the make and model, but with all of the accessories I would need to safely travel both on and off road to take me to the locations of these outback churches

this is another of my ‘God instances’ that I believe He sends me to reassure me that my thoughts are on track with God’s plan.

A favourite verse of mine is Jeramiah,29: 11-15

It is such a beautiful feeling knowing that God has a special plan for my life but when God actually confirms that I am heading in the right direction to put that same plan into action it can only be called for what it is- either a miracle or a supernatural intervention- or in my terms – a God instance

I’m starting to become excited. My project to fix up a 46 year old caravan is on track. My start date in February makes sense as far as weather for travelling and, praise God for His Mercy and goodness, My health will be at a point where I will be able to travel without the need of an ostomy nurse. God is Good.

As always, May God Bless and encourage you my fellow believers and friends and have a wonderful day. Until the next time I am able to write and share with you all. Rod.
